Ms. Joan Popolo is the Executive Director of ACTION Innovation Network, connecting startups/scaleups to space, services, and resources to accelerate their success in the industry sectors of cleantech, life science, robotics, advanced materials, aerospace and marine/maritime. Her special interests include new business ventures in life science, cleantech, food, natural products, and agriculture dedicated to resource conservation.
Formerly, Principal of J. Popolo Design, an environmentally-focused landscape design and consulting firm with residential, municipal, and institutional clients. Former research scientist in agricultural biotechnology focused on increasing nutritional qualities and disease resistance in crop plants.
